This introduces two new methods to `ToneMapper`: `isOneDimensional()` and
`isLDR()`. `ColorGrading` references these values along with other parameters
passed to the builder to determine if we can get away with only generating a
one-dimensional LUT. Meanwhile, `PostProcessManager` takes care of setting the
new spec constants and uniforms for `colorGrading.mat` and
`colorGradingAsSubpass.mat`.
We break existing API by returning both the IndirectLight and the
texture. Same thing with Skybox.
Fix one bug where the float array in getSphericalHarmonics wasn't
getting written out.
Fixes#6412
The current API used a void* in Texture::setExternalImage to pass
the platform specific image. This was a problem because on some
platform like Android, there could be several types (EGLImageKHR and
AHardwareBuffer), and with the void* there was no way to distinguish
them on the backend / platform side.
We now have a new Texture API which takes a
Platform::ExternalImageHandle, which is a reference-counted handle
to a Platform::ExternalImage. Platform::ExternalImage is an opaque
type only known by the platform.
This type must be created using a concrete Platform specific API, such
as:
PlatformEGL::createExternalImage
PlatformEGLAndroid::createExternalImage
PlatformCocoaGL::createExternalImage
PlatformCocoaTouchGL::createExternalImage
New types can easily be added in the future.
There is no "destroy" call because the Platform::ExternalImageHandle is
reference-counted and the client can let go of it as soon as it
doesn't need it any longer (typically after calling
Texture::setExternalImage). Platform::ExternalImage is a small
structure that just anonymously wraps the concrete types.
New internal driver APIs have been added to handle this functionality.
Clients can create a multi-layered render target that consists of array
textures, and use it as a custom render target.
A new sample app "hellostereo" demonstrates how to use this feature.
Print a warning in case the sterescopic type in a compiled package is
different than what's in the engine's setting. The application may
proceed, but it could end up visual glitches when enabling stereoscopic
rendering.
This requires the stereoscopic type to be written into the package,
which needs a material version bump.
This function attempts to set texture parameters in these two cases, but the
texture is not guaranteed to be bound. Perhaps it once was, but the assumption
broke at some point.
I was unfortunately naive about the way that Filament handled external textures
on non-GLES platforms. This fix restricts the changes to Android (which is the
only place this change is required in the first place). Long story short, the
change broke WebGL. Desktop seems to be unaffected.
This PR adds a new `pause()` option to the `Engine` `Builder` and a new function
`setPaused()` to the `Engine`. While paused, the rendering thread will pause
indefinitely for commands as if none are available. As soon as the rendering
thread is unpaused, the commands are immediately executed.
This adds a new material property (float postLightingMixFactor) which
is used to mix the original color with the post-lighting blended color.
The default value is 1.0, which keeps the current behavior.
